Have you ever felt as though you were represented by two realtors?Well, we had the unique experience of feeling as if we had two advocates during our recent home purchase in Serrano. The seller's realtor, Connie Barnes, acted as if she was our advocate as well as her client's. From our first meeting with us to after the close of escrow, she behaved in a professional and caring manner. This included introducing us to what would become some of our new neighbors, giving us an in depth history of the house and its various features (beyond the normal call of duty), taking care of needs that exceeded our agreed upon contract, and lastly, showing a genuine level of care and concern. Suffice to say, her demeanor and level of action greatly exceeded that of any seller's realtor we've ever encountered. 'I purchased a home at Montellago'Dear Scott, I purchased a home at Montellago last October. It was far more expensive than any house I have lived in previously, and my first non-custom. I thought long and hard about the purchase because I was going to have a larger mortgage than I've had before, and I really hate being in debt. I was all set to just buy an equivalently-priced house when I moved, but two things changed my mind€”the features of the house, and Connie Barnes. Connie is an absolute gem. I must have made 20 trips to the models before placing a deposit, she provided decorating ideas and let me know about options others had done that were popular in my particular model. When the construction startup on my home was delayed for months because of a problem with the lot, she was there making suggestions on how to speed up the process. The quality Connie has that really stands out to me is her after-sales attitude is absolutely no different than before the sale. I appreciate this so much as I know other home buyers who were ignored once the papers were signed. I know she has to deal with some very demanding clientele, and her job cannot be an easy one.
